Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Americana Technique From Four Point Side Control
Hi! This is Aaron Fruitstone and Liz Muller from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. The next basic Brazilian jiujitsu technique that you will be learning is the figure four arm lock, also known as the Americana from the four points position of side control. So I am going to be in my four point side control, I pushed this knee up foot to the hip and I am controlling this arm under my body. All I am going to do is shift my body away, hook the top of her arm with no thumb and use my weight by going back to my four points, elbow to her head to hold her arm down. From this position I am going to creep this arm underneath her elbow grabbing my own wrist. Tight four points position. I keep her hand to the ground, I am going to start to pull her elbow towards her feet and lift it at the same time, as she feels discomfort she taps. One more time in normal speed, we are going tight side control this arm is free, I reach up I push it down, elbow tight, under and in, lift.
